DR. SETH BRICKLIN

Psy. D, M.B.A. LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Bricklin holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a master's in business administration from Widener University in Chester, PA. As a licensed clinical psychologist, he specializes in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, chronic pain, and substance abuse.

Previously, Dr. Bricklin served as the Director of Mental Health at a non-public school catering to developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed students across L.A. County from 2005 to 2016. He also has extensive experience conducting forensic evaluations for federal employees, particularly focusing on the intricate interplay between physical injuries, work-related stress, and psychological disorders.

Passionate about mentorship and education, Dr. Bricklin has a history of supervising and training new therapists. Throughout his career, he has taught undergraduate psychology courses and delivered lectures on various topics, ranging from adolescent substance abuse treatment to ethical considerations in therapy. Utilizing evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and mindfulness therapies, Dr. Bricklin tailors his approach to meet the unique goals of each client.

Dr. Bricklin is thrilled to bring his expertise and passion for mental health to Psychology Services of Alaska, where he and our dedicated team provide compassionate and effective care to individuals in need.

DR. ERICA COADY

PhD, ABPP (CN), Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist



Dr. Erica Coady was born and raised in Alaska. She received her undergraduate degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. She then attended graduate school at Seattle Pacific University in Washington where she graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Coady completed a neuropsychology internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. After her internship, she completed a two year clinical neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and the David Geffen School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Fellow of Neuropsychology. Her graduate studies and early work focused on a broad array of neurological and psychological disorders. Her extensive training meets the rigorous Houston Conference guidelines outlined by the American Psychological Association for training neuropsychologists.



Dr. Coady is also board-certified and a diplomate in clinical neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN). She is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the American Psychological Association, and the Alaska Psychological Association.

Dr. Coady is thrilled to have returned to Alaska. She enjoys working with adult patients with a variety of neurological and psychological concerns. She believes all individuals are doing their best to succeed in life with the tools they have available to them. She is honored to be a part of the caring, dedicated team at Psychology Services of Alaska and Anchorage Bariatrics. In her spare time, Dr. Coady enjoys hiking, trail running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

DR. SANDRA MITCHELL

Ph.D, Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Mitchell earned her Ph.D. from the neuropsychology training program at the University of Florida. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Connecticut VA and post-doctoral neuropsychology residency at the New Mexico VA.

After completing her residency, Dr. Mitchell came to Alaska to start a neuropsychology service with an Anchorage neurology practice. In 2017, she joined Providence Medical Group with her friend and colleague, Dr. Erica Coady. After spending 2024 with a neuropsychology group practice where she received training in autism assessment, she has reunited with Dr. Coady at Psychology Services of Alaska.

Dr. Mitchell specializes in adult neuropsychology. She uses a therapeutic approach to assessment and feedback that emphasizes education and support to patients and families, in addition to explaining test results and diagnoses. Dr. Mitchell’s clinical experience includes evaluation of patients with traumatic brain injury, mild cognitive impairment and dementia, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, ADHD and other developmental disorders, a wide spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis), pre- and post-surgical evaluations (e.g., brain tumor, seizures, deep brain stimulation, bariatric evaluations, spinal cord stimulators), epilepsy, normal cognitive aging, as well as the effects of mood and personality on cognitive function.

After Dr. Mitchell and her husband Dan moved to Alaska, they were thrilled when their adult children also chose to call Alaska home. In her spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, camping, traveling, and enjoying the beauty of Alaska.

KRISTA HOBSON, NP

Nurse Practitioner, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Krista Hobson, APRN was born in Blackfoot, Idaho and moved to Alaska when she was 7 years old. She earned her BS in Nursing Science at University of Alaska Anchorage. She worked as a registered nurse at Alaska Regional Hospital in the Medical/Oncology and Cardiac floors while also working as a SANE (Sex Assault Nurse Examiner). In 2013, she helped create and build the Mat-Su Forensic Nursing Services program that assisted survivors of sexual assault and strangulation.

Krista attended Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing. She became an ANCC certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018 and quickly learned that while treating the body, she must also treat the mind. Thus, she returned to Frontier Nursing University and obtained her Post Graduate Certificate by ANCC to be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has previously provided mental healthcare to children and adolescents at Ptarmigan Connections in Wasilla and is excited to help people of all ages at Psychology Services of Alaska.

Krista enjoys skiing, hiking, painting, reading mystery novels, hunting, fishing, and exploring Alaska and the rest of the world. She has a wonderful spouse, two grown boys, an amazing daughter in-law, a beautiful granddaughter, and her favorite Corgi, Leeloo.

PAUL GAINES, JR

M.Ed. LCSW, LPC-S.

Paul Gaines was born in Newport, RI and moved to Alaska in 2014. Paul received a Master of Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, for Licensure, from Bridgewater State College, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut with a focus on substance use and mental health in veteran populations. Paul’s therapeutic preferences are Gestalt and Rational Emotive Therapy. Other evidence-based therapeutic

interventions Paul uses include, but are not limited to, EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and DBT.


Paul enjoys building programs to improve staff and consumer retention. Paul was the Associate

Dean of Students before changing careers to become a full time psychotherapist in 2011. Paul is a former firefighter and EMT, stepping away from EMS in 2025 after ten years to focus on providing trauma-informed care for veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and current military personnel.


Paul relocated to Anchorage from Fairbanks in April 2025.


ANNETTE CANNON

BA, CSP, Neuropsychometrist

Annette Cannon was born and raised in Utah and happily considers Alaska her home. As a Certified Specialist in Psychometry, she specializes in the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests. Annette feels she is a perfect fit for this career and loves helping patients, especially by using her calming personality to help make testing a pleasant experience.

Outside of her work, Annette enjoys many Alaskan activities such as dip netting, trying to photograph the Aurora, and of course spending valued time with family and friends. She appreciates live concerts and stage performances or settling in with a good movie and her favorite tea. She enjoys many genres of music, even recently learning about the philosophy and playing of Native American flutes. Annette is excited to bring her skills and energy to Psychology Services of Alaska.


ALISON KENNEN

VIRGINIA (GINI) MONCION

Program Manager

Virginia “Gini” Moncion was born in Kirkland, WA. She moved to Alaska in 1981. Gini enjoys working with the public and has always worked in customer service. She can relate to patients seeking help with weight loss, as she herself was a bariatric patient in 2011. Gini is excited to be part of the team at Anchorage Bariatrics and help others who have already gone through the process of bariatric surgery or are just beginning their weight loss journey.


Gini has a passion for traveling to the Dominican Republic every chance she gets. She is fluent in Spanish and loves practicing her skills while there.
